About us
The Restaurant Pizzeria Cremonese was opened in the Cremona in 1972. It takes its name from the historic “Cremonese” tearoom, which was, for a long time, one of the best known and most popular places for sportsmen downtown.
It is located in the old town centre. It overlooks the gardens of Piazza Roma. Nearby you can visit the beautiful Piazza del Duomo, Piazza Stradivari and the historic streets that wind through the promenade of Corso Campi and Corso Garibaldi.
From here it is only a short walk to the Civic Museum, the public Library, the Ponchielli Theatre, Piazza Giovanni XXIII and Santa Maria della Pietà Cultural Centre, where important conferences and artistic and musical events are held. Another attracting destination for tourists are the many lute-making workshops in the old town.
Nearby you can reach the recently restored Piazza Marconi, where, in September 2013, the prestigious Violin Museum was inaugurated. In the room called "Scrigno dei Tesori" you can see masterpieces by Antonio Stradivari, works by the Amati family and some works by Guarneri del Gesù.
Next to the museum there is the Giovanni Arvedi Auditorium, an innovative jewel of acoustic engineering with 464 seats designed by engineer Yasuhisa Toyota, one of the world's greatest experts in the field and already project leader of over 50 concert halls around the world.
In the square in front of the museum there is also a large multi-storey car park. Ristorante Pizzeria Cremonese, located in the heart of Cremona, offers healthy and genuine cuisine with fresh homemade pasta.
The selection of pizzas satisfies every taste with special attention to food intolerances: gluten-free, yeast-free (no leavening process or use of sourdough), whole wheat, kamut and takeaway pizzas.
The restaurant has a large, comfortable, air-conditioned room suitable for holding events, groups, families, school trips and birthday parties. The outdoor area has a large, spacious lounge which, in the milder seasons, is perfect for enjoying in peace and quiet surrounded by the gardens of Piazza Roma.
